We cannot say enough good things about Doni and the work Don's Tree Service completed at our home. We had 3 very large oaks that were precariously close to our sunroom. The access wasn't easy and we have 3 skylights on our sunroom roof and they did not disturb anything. They were so incredibly efficient and the cleanliness was off the charts. They are the best tree service in town.

I had a tree removed in my backyard in Decatur and I was very satisfied with the excellent service. The interaction with the owner/manager was very professional. Doni made a very reasonable estimate. After agreeing to the proposal, the tree removal was already scheduled for the following working day. One of the workers climbed up the tree with ropes and crampons and cut one branch after the other and let all pieses down secured by a rope. Clean up was quick and thorough.

Don's Tree Service did a great job for me. Everyone was friendly and courteous. They trimmed my cypress trees and cut down two trees. Completely cleaned up everything afterwards. Now my back yard looks terrific!

I had a maple tree cut down. They came early and took down the tree quickly. We had some Halloween decorations out that I thought were not in the way, but her crew move them. That was a great move on their part to protect my property. To my surprise, when they were done they started to replace the decorations back!!
I was totally happy at that point. But then, when they came to pick up the trees they raked the yard of all the leaves that were there before they started! My yard looks better than it did before they came. Make sure that you use Don's tree service! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Sometimes life takes off and right after my birthday mine took off when half of a hundred year red oak fell through my house. Dons tree service was fast in responding and empathetic when no one else was. The first thing don asked me when I walked up to meet her was "how are you doing?" Her calmness and understanding made me feel at peace with all the chaos that had just ensued. Don and her team are very professional and will work with you when the going gets tough. I am so grateful for their service and would recommend them to everyone who needs a tree removal especially if it's as drastic as mine because they were truly comforting and responsive.

After seeing years worth of people on Facebook, moaning about tree services, I was worried when we had to contact one. "Tree services" seem to be well known for taking a deposit, and leaving the work unfinished for weeks or months.

We were lucky enough to contact Don's. They've done work for us TWICE now. They got out quickly, and gave a fair quote. Showed up on the day it was scheduled, and did all of the work as described. Nothing left behind, nothing left undone, no hidden charges. I remained outside with the crew the entire day, for our latest job, as there were several different things they were handling for us.

The guys were professional, polite, excellent at their work, and efficient. They went above and beyond to make us happy. If you're on the fence about finding a company to take care of this work, please don't hesitate to call Don's. You can count on them to do what they promise.

Beware of a similarly named company. I had to verify the phone number I had, to make sure I was leaving a review for Don's Tree Service, and not Don's Tree Experts. You can glance at the almost 5 star reviews here, and tell that it's a different company from the 3 star "Tree Experts". Without this confusion, it would definitely be showing 5 stars!

I'll say 4 stars only because she very reasonable. Her staff is professional nice and gets the job done quick. There are many good things to considered her service. That 1 star didn't cut it because the time management is not so great when it comes to the Clean up schedule. I will be using her services in the near future and I will recommend. Thanks

In April (2019), Don's Tree Service cut and removed almost 100 trees (counted at least 90) from a 100 ft by 120 ft area behind my house to create my family and I a "real" backyard. Their service included grinding down all of the tree stumps as well. The price they charged me was what other tree servicers quoted me just to cut down 10 trees or so. I had no regrets with Don's service, price or timelines when the job was completed. I highly recommend Don's Tree Service for all of your tree servicing needs!

Very efficient, worked really fast and reasonable prices

Dons Tree Service was prompt in getting a quote. The price was reasonable for a complicated project to remove two 100+ year old oak trees with limited access. They scheduled our job within a week. The crew of five was just awesome! They replaced my fence every evening so that the dogs could get out and run around. They even moved some plants. It was a pleasure working with them.
